AussieTheatre.com launched in 2003 in a "web magazine" format, updating monthly and providing general news and reviews on Australian theatre. It originally launched under the name BroadwayAustralia.com, a title it maintained until a massive overhaul in 2006.

It was in late 2004 when TDE (original publishers of AussieTheatre.com) made the website a major priority and dumped the "web magazine" format, moulding the website on successful theatre sites around the world. It become an up-to-date website bringing Australian theatre audiences news, reviews, previews, opinion pieces and a vast variety of general information.

The website filled a major gap in the market and quickly developed a strong reputation in terms of breaking major stories, and always being on the ball with up-to-the-minute developing news stories.

AussieTheatre.com, with the support of publicists, producers, directors, actors and of course the general theatre audience, has become a permanent fixture on the Australian theatre scene and has developed into the premier theatre news source in the country.

In 2007, AussieTheatre.com is expected to again confirm its dominance.
